The Son Tries refuge is located close to the urban centre of Esporles, in the foothills of the Fita del Ram at an altitude of 833 metres. From here, it is possible to head out on different family outings, such as the climb to the hermitage of Maristel·la and to Cor de Jesús, visible from practically anywhere in the town of Esporles.
Following the GR 221 Dry Stone Route you can reach Banyalbufar and, if you head along different signposted routes, you can head to the public estate of Planícia, which offers different options such as the ascent to Mola de Planícia, situated at a height of 932 metres.

The Son Tries refuge is a 3-minute walk away from the Plaza d’Espanya d’Esporles -between the church and the Town Hall- where the GR 221 Dry Stone Route. To access it from the Route, you should head down Calle Joan Riutord (Palma road) and take a detour towards the Es Verger neighbourhood, along the Costa de Son Tries. At a bend you will find the stone steps to the Font de Son Tries de Baix, close to where the refuge is located.
